    1. This was an okay story, and we got a slightly different storyline with the dean searching for the person who started the barn fire. The ending was a little silly though.6 out of 10

    2. i just finished it two weeks ago. i started it and then stopped for like 4 months. i decided to read it again because i was out of other books. but i did like it. Easy is confusing me. but im glad he finally dumped callie. she deserved it. jenny wasnt doing anything to hurt anyone. shes just doing her thing. but i am disappointed that tinsely didnt get expelled. and im glad that brett is no longer a lesbian. that was just werid, and kara and heath are together. thats what that boy needed. a good [...]

    3. I read this book on a vacation plane ride. I didn't take me that long to read it. The reading level was pretty easy, it was good though. It was a book of the IT GIRL series.

    4. the book was amazing. not usually the one to read but i got through over 50 pages one day because I was so into it. the book is about college kids who started a fire at the barn. lots of kids were in there but nobody admits to actually starting it. each suspect must figure out who was the one responsible for the fire before each person gets kicked out. I recommend this book to teenage girls because of the drama and events that happen in this book. I liked the mystery and cliffhangers of this boo [...]

    5. I didn't think I'd be finishing this anytime soon, whoopsie. I thought I was going to put it down for a fantasy book because I've been addicted to them but I just couldn't stop myself. Darn Cecily Von Zigesar getting me so addicted! Well this was definitly a very good addition the series. Lot's of mystery and wanting to know what comes next and I liked how it ended with Callie and Easy :). Bwahah :)

    6. The book I read was Lucky part of the It Girl Series by Cecily Von Ziegesar. This is the fifth book in the series out of ten and is a spinoff of the popular series Gossip Girl. Besides all the Gossip Girl and It Girl books Cecily Von Ziegesar has also written Cum Laude and Gossip Girl: The Carlyles. She is New York Times #1 Best Selling author for these series. Her books are usually written for Young Adults and the genres are typically drama, comedies, short, and romances. This particular book i [...]

    7. Lucky is the fifth book of a series called It Girl. This 247 page book was about High school juniors attending one of the most prestigious prep school in the country. This boarding school was called Waverly Academy. Pretty much all of the kids attending this school came from very rich families who could afford to buy them out of anything. However, there was one girl named Jenny Humphrey who came by scholarship, and her family couldn't afford things like the rest of the students there. One night [...]

    8. At the beginning of the book for me it seemed very difficult to get into the book itself. It seemed very confusing and mixed up but then ended up making more sense and making me not want to put it down!!! This book is about a group of high school juniors attending one of the most prestigious and elite prep schools in the country, Waverly Academy. They are boarding school students, and all come from rich, privileged families that can afford to buy off any mistakes their kids make. Except of one g [...]

    9. Why do I like this series enough to actually purchase titles from it at full price? Unlike Gossip Girl, The It Girl axes all the tedious male characters (Nate), and particularly those who become tedious recurring jokes (Chuck and Dan) and focuses more on the female characters (though there are a few tedious male characters thrown in for good measure -- Easy and Brandon). Also unlike GG, TIG has a mix of characters who you unequivocally hate unless you're a complete sociopath (Tinsley) and charac [...]

    10. Finally I'm nearing the finish, on the fifth book, Cecily has most definitely kept her novel series alive and well. Cecily reminds us of all the the usual drama I've become accustomed to, as well as brilliantly funny dialogue (Heath Ferro should be immortalised forever), new scandals and a look at the many Waverly relationships. The relationships, both romantic and platonic, are tested in Lucky, which is par for the course when it comes to Jenny and her super-hot, super-rich friends. Tinsley and [...]

    11. I was actually glad Jenny got the boot, and sad when she didn't. Yes, the whole series revolves around Jenny's arrival, but it's the closest thing I have to Gossip Girl. After struggling to read an equally grabbing book for three months, I thought that I would be finishing this book someday under the warm July sun.Cecily von Ziegesar has the skill to make you stay awake and read, and the story is easy flowing. Let's admit it, the story is not the most highly intellectual. If it wasn't part of a [...]

    12. Reviewed by Taylor Rector for TeensReadTooAfter the fire at the barn, the school is in an uproar trying to figure out the culprits of who started it. As readers of this addicting series already know, ever since Tinsley Carmichael came back to school she has had it in for Jenny. Jenny wasn't the one who started the fire, but that doesn't mean anything as far as Tinsley is concerned. Bret and Kara have rumors flying about them! What will they do to stop them? The boys are getting into the usual am [...]

    13. This fifth installment of the It Girl series was one of the best so far. The author had so much tension going on between the characters making the drama and fights more enjoyable. I actually wish Kara and Brett were still together because they were actually a really good couple. I think I may sound dumb because I just figured this out now, all the titles have something to do with the actual book, #2 notorious is meaning Tinsley because she was talked about a lot in the first book and now she is [...]

    14. I have no idea why this was in my grandmother's spare bedroom. And I have no idea why I started it. And I have no idea why I finished it. But I did. I also don't know why I watched Beverly Hills, 90210 (the real one), but I did.You really need to be up on your name brands to read this book. Every other paragraph contained some sort of brand name. I've not read the other books in this series, so I'm sure there's some nuances that I wasn't picking up on, but I'm sure that didn't matter much to my [...]

    15. I was really into this series. Read it back in middle school/early high school. This book (#5) engrossed me the most, and made me want more. This series, for me, was one of those light reads that were easy and relaxed. Not in a hurry to read the whole thing. It was put-down-able. Which is nice every once in a while. Cute banter, witty and interesting characters, and best of all, the scandalous rich private school lifestyle that I harbor a guilty pleasure for. I just love Tinsley. That's all.In f [...]

    16. this book started off boring but it got alot better. it was about this kids at a bording school and they were having a party and someone started a fire and when they dean found out who that person was they would be expelled. but this girl tinsley did it on accident but her and her friend callie were trying to blame it on this girl jenny just because she had like the hottest bf. jenny didnt want the drama so she just said it was her but then this old lady said her cow started the fire and not to [...]

    17. I love this series more than the other rich-chick/boarding school series for YAs. Most of the characters are normal (gasp!). But OMG, this book is like the best of all the It Girl Series. How am I going to wait until June to find out who J's secret admirer is? And will T get expelled? Are E and C broken up for good? Will B ever find true love? You know you love me,Gossip Girl

    18. Meh. I'm not the target audience. Makes you remember high school drama, gah. Glad that's no longer an issue haha silly children.

    19. I enjoyed this book. This book is the 5th book of the It Girl series. Though I didn't get to read the 4th book, the beginning helps me see what was going on and that was a good thing because i wasn't confused at all. I really enjoyed the book and the book seems realistic and not like those books where it sounds really fake.

    20. This was my least favourite book in the series, it dragged a fair bit throughout the middle and didn't seem like much was going on. I wasn't very fond of where some the relationships were going and who was with who and all that sort of thing. The resolutions left something to be desired but the rest of the series turned out fine.

    21. I liked this book, but I think it' should've gotten straight to the point. It took toooo long for the whole gossip-barn-fire situation. I'm glad Brett and Kara aren't lesbians anymore. Personally, I've wanted Brett to be with Jeremiah. I officially hate Easy. HE LEFT CALLIE AGAIN. FOR JENNY. AND JENNY'S NOT LEAVING. SHE'S STAYING. =(

    22. so much crazy things happen i wouldnt have expected in the beginng like secrets spilling and huge "accidents" happening.but then it went on and on until the endwhen some jealous girls want revenge. i guess i have to wait for the next book to come out!!!!!

    23. This book is really interesting! Great for a light read too. I hadn't read any of the four books preceding this one in the series, but it was understandable, and makes me wonder if there are any more IT Girl Novels out there.

    24. Alright, I said I was going to stop reading this series, but I happened to have this book at my house, so I read it anyway. About the same as the others and still entertaining enough to keep me reading.

    25. It's a cool book. Jenny Humphrey was bein suspected to a barn burn. She's almost expelled frm Waverly. But its canceled. Now im very curious bout who's bribed Mrs.Miller for telling Cows did that burn. bruakkaa, cows started a fire, hah?! Yes, Absurd. Cnt wait to read the next novel! :D

    26. Oh my gosh, this book was amazing!!! :) The ending was really sad, I thought Jenny really was leaving Waverly Place forever! Thank Goodness she didn't. The book would of never been the same without her. Tinsley and Callie are just plain mean!!!

    27. This book & this series makes you read all the time. They end pulling you into the next series. Read to follow Jenny through out her boarding school experience. With drinking, smoking, parting, & art you never really know who is THE it girl

    28. Not a bad book in the series, I liked how it seemed fairly down to earth compared to some of the story lines. The ending is cute kind of as well and leaves you on a cliff hanger. I read it pretty quickly which was good. It's a nice break.
